Overhanging the historical village, the European Centre for Art and Medieval Civilization offers a stirring view over the natural cirque of Conques. Equipments extend over a total surface area of 2600 square metres and are directly linked to an underground car park with 70 spaces.

    Opened in 1993, the European Centre for Art and Medieval Civilization is a privileged place for the discovery of medieval civilization.
  • Research and documentation
    Historical resource centre, it holds more than 300 books over Middle Ages
    Study trips, symposiums and seminars, publications, in partnership with Toulouse-Le Mirail University.
  • Training and education
    Patrimony classes and work-groups
    Classes for artistic education
    Discovery course in medieval arts and techniques
    Artistic crafts in partnership with the Ecole Boulle.
  • Patrimony and contemporary creation
    Concerts, shows, entertainment, lectures.

    It is particularly well suited for accommodating symposiums, international congresses (possibility of conversing in four languages) and concerts thanks to excellent acoustics.
    Stage of 78 square metres (opening of 13 m, 5.80 m in depth that can be brought to 7.20 m in the centre, height of 6 m)
    One control room for sound, light and projection
    Three simultaneous translation labs (four languages, heat-seeking captors)
    Writing cases, screen (6 m by 8 m)
    Public and individual boxes
    Press room
    Video projection, cinema, overhead projection, slides, television, « visio »-lectures
